Daily Routine
Infants follow gentle, personalized schedules for feeding and sleep while enjoying music, singing, poetry, stories, and creative play throughout the day. Daily guided walks around our campus bring fresh air, sunshine, and natural sensory experiences. Teachers maintain close communication with parents about meals, naps, and developmental milestones, so you always feel connected to your baby's day.
Classroom Experience
Our bright, spacious infant classrooms provide a calm, secure space where babies thrive. The low teacher-to-child ratio means your little one receives consistent, loving attention from educators who hold degrees in early childhood education. About Our Infant Child Care in Alpharetta GA
Will my baby really be okay here? Will someone notice when they need comfort? Will they be held, talked to, and treated with tenderness? These questions keep so many parents up at night, and we understand how much they matter. For over 20 years, families in Alpharetta, Milton, and Cumming have trusted Oak Grove Academy because we hold these same questions close to our hearts. Our infant program provides early childhood education grounded in research showing that 90% of brain development happens before kindergarten. But beyond the research, we believe that every cuddle, every song, and every moment of gentle play shapes who your child is becoming. What surrounds infants shapes their developing brains in powerful ways. That is why our teachers, curriculum, and environment work together to create a space where your baby feels safe, known, and deeply cared for.
From 6 Weeks to 7 Months: Development Support For Every Stage
Our infant program recognizes that every baby develops at their own pace, and we honor that truth in everything we do. Your little one's early months bring rapid changes, and our teachers provide individualized support for each stage, meeting your baby exactly where they are.
Language and Communication Foundations
Teachers talk, sing, and read to your infant throughout the day, building early language skills through warm, responsive interactions. Your baby hears poetry, stories, and songs, absorbing the rhythms and patterns of communication long before they speak their first words. These language-rich moments help young minds recognize sounds, tones, and the melody of human connection. There is something profound about watching a baby turn toward a familiar voice or quiet at a gentle song. Language grows naturally when babies are held lovingly within it.
Motor Skills Development
Infants engage in activities designed to strengthen both gross and fine motor skills. Tummy time, reaching for toys, and exploring safe objects help your baby build coordination and body awareness. Our activities follow developmental milestones, giving each child the support they need to roll, grasp, and eventually sit. These early movements are the beginning of independence, and we celebrate each small victory along the way.
Sensory Exploration and Play
Your baby explores the world through touch, sight, sound, and movement. Our classrooms offer gentle sensory experiences with varied textures, soft music, and age-appropriate materials. Daily outdoor time provides fresh air and natural stimulation. A child's brain doubles in size during the first year of life, and these early sensory experiences shape how they understand their world. We create spaces where curiosity can unfold safely, one discovery at a time.
Emotional Security and Bonding
For young children, emotional safety is the foundation on which all other learning rests. Teachers respond quickly to your infant's needs, providing comfort, warmth, and consistent care. We work to maintain the strong bonds of security your child enjoys at home. This responsive care helps infants feel safe enough to explore and learn. Our low 1:4 ratio means your baby receives the individualized attention essential for healthy emotional development. Someone is always there to comfort and understand them.
Social Awareness in a Community Setting
Even young infants benefit from being around other children and caring adults. Your baby observes peers, hears different voices, and experiences gentle social interactions. These early experiences in our community lay groundwork for future friendships and connection. Teachers guide these interactions with patience and respect for each baby's comfort level. We never push interaction before a child is ready.
Peaceful Routines That Build Trust
Predictable routines help infants feel secure and confident. Our teachers create comforting schedules for meals, rest, and play that honor your baby's natural rhythms. We follow the feeding plans and preferences you provide, weaving your home routines into our care. You will receive daily updates about your infant's activities, creating a true partnership between home and school. This communication helps you stay connected to your baby's world even when you are apart.

Every staff member took the time to get to know my child. my child's class teachers also go above and beyond for whatever each child needs to the best of their ability. The staff always seems very caring and you can see that they want the children to have positive experience's at their school. I am happy that they had an opening for my child. I will be sad when she starts first grade as she will not be here anymore.
